Travel Part 1

It is currently 11.18 pm and we all know what that means! Time to smoke some  blog!

Finally going to blog about the tiny bit of travelling I was lucky enough to experience last year, one which I swore to myself I would blog about but of course, decided to procrastinate instead.

Lets try to settle this once and for all!

As you can see I managed to come up with that map looking thing all by my IT challenged self!
 *pats self on head*

Anyway, here are the pictures!

I can't give you the exact names of all the places I visited though because I can no longer remember.

1) Istanbul

This was during our layover and we had over 4 hours  to explore. The weather was scorching hot and the people there were really  friendly.

Ended up in the beautiful mosque and the market!

Mind you, I take crappy pictures.

Mosque on the inside
Mosque on the outside
Mosque on the inside but still kind of outside
Street market
The look of absolute longing for shiny things I can't afford
Absolutely loved all of the quirky stuff sold in the market. Wanted to buy a pendant to add  to my collection but that would require me to sacrifice the money reserved for food.

Tough decision really.

In the end i guess for some reason, we decided that food was sort of important so we went with food.

2) Budapest

I bought this pin , Lord Fredrick somewhere  along the way. And then I lost it somewhere along the way
Stayed in this beautiful place my sister found on some website ( obviously I'm doing a terrible job at remembering details) . Think it was called the Dorothea apartments.

Friendly owner, beautiful place and totally strategic too , because most of the places we wanted to visit in Budapest were all just within walking distance.

where we stayed!

Eating area /kitchen
Me eating.

It was kind of a hassle and expensive to find Halal food there so we mostly bought stuff from the grocery store which was conveniently just next door and occasionally (okay fine, like twice) we would walk to the huge supermarket to buy milk, fresh fruits, bread and cheese!

2 floors okay mum went insane it was scary
Milk so fresh you could almost hear it Mooo
Probably the closest I'll ever get to pork
One of the museums.
You know how people say that travelling will help you discover yourself?

Well I discovered something about myself.

I hate museums.

I  thought I could be fully immersed in the beautiful paintings or the old metal bowls left behind by some lady hundreds of years ago and really appreciate all of the historical value it carries but nope.

A bowl will forever be a bowl.

We also went to this church where you could pay extra to climb all the way to the very top to see the view of a big part of the city.

I got really excited at the thought of finally being able to use my Gopro to capture something breathtaking and Instagram worthy.

Until I started climbing the stairs that is.

The face of regret.
The face of happiness. Minus a few calories.
I promise you, in reality, the view is a lot more impressive.
That was pretty much it for the first trip to Budapest. We went to a lot of other places but I'm too lazy to sort out the pictures and edit my face out and post them up so let's just use the power of imagination and  pretend I did just that.

Okay I know I said I'm going to finish this travel post once and for all but I lied.

I'm going to eat my leftover pie now and if it is meant to be then I shall return with a Part 2.

Byee!

Oh Hi

It has been ages I know.

I would love to give legit reasons as to why I completely stopped blogging but I don't have any.

I have reasons. But none of them are legit. Hehe.

Am currently now in my last few weeks of my final semester ( breathes deeply) and after this I'll be facing my finals and then hopefully pass, and then graduate.

I'm scared and excited but mostly hungry.

Decided to write in my diary last night, and then I came to realize how I much I have missed blogging, and the feeling of being able to write on just about anything and nothing educational.

It's really funny how the more things I have to prepare and study for in university, the more I feel like I have to update my blog.

There's a term for this I believe.

Bongok.

...

I hate it when I forget.

This morning I came downstairs and nobody was there, and as is routine, the first thing I did was to boil some water for his morning tea and I wanted to proceed by setting the newspaper on top of his seat.

Then of course I remember.

I just really hate the fact that for that one tiny portion of a moment, everything felt okay and then suddenly it's not again.

I Need More Energy

This week went by in a daze.

For some reason I hardly remember the details of this week.

Like I remember going to class, eating chocolates, doing assignments, tutorials, more assignments, attending to grandpa, and napping in the library.

But how exactly those things went is just a blur.

All I know is that I feel super tired now.

Anyway, I am going to watch Romeo and Juliet, ponder about life, write in my diary and sleep because tomorrow is a Saturday and I just want to be a potato.

Potato

Ps. The neighborhood kids called me auntie.

Hahahahah

I really shouldn't but I will

Just discovered a new Korean drama.

Life and assignments are now put on hold until further notice.

Will regret this on Saturday .

But until then...hehe.

Vacation, tests and breakfast

I should really start updating regularly so I don't have to keep on posting recaps.

But I know I won't.

1)Weekend vacation!

We originally wanted to go to Thailand.

Saw some pictures of the blue lake and it was absolutely beautiful!

However due to my limited financial means ( the RM8 a day policy is such a pain in the ass I swear and I was crazy to think it would work) Juliekins suggested that we visit her in Johor and then  Melaka for the weekends instead!

So with that, Binxy and I took the flight to Johor to meet up with Juliekins and Lootyfi!

The flight was at 8pm if I'm not mistaken and I must say, night flights are a lot more enjoyable than the ones during the day!

Was holding on to Binxy's hands throughout the takeoff because I'm a coward.

No fingers were permanently injured though , thank heavens for that!

Met up with the lovebirds at the airport and we all had a dramatic slow motion greeting session even though we just saw each other the previous week.

Went to the Pasar Karat that night and a bunch of hipster looking cafes that smelled like weed! Super fascinating I swear. I kind of like it.

The next morning we went to the beach to unleash our inner 3 year olds buried deep throughout the many years of forced maturity...

Having serious discussion in regards to our town construction.
Some random mermaid and her magical claw.

Digging holes to have our very own access to China.
Lootify guarding our food and picnic spot from the piercing eyes of hungry hyenas.
The picnic was fantastic by the way! We had strawberries covered in chocolate, some wrapped sandwiches, and mini pancakes with hot tea!

All prepared by Juliekins and Lootify gaah thank you so much guys! I pray that your future children will be absolutely adorable and talented!
Some random person smiling to the camera
Compulsory jumping shot.
After that we went to Bukit Tinggi ( i think) to see the waterfall!

Ain't no awas sign is gonna stop those badasses.
I just paddled a bit and dipped my feet in because the day before, mum was being dramatic and telling me about rat piss and how people are dying from rat piss found in public places and she would much rather prefer if I don't die there because it would be a hassle to bring my body back here.

Which I personally think is ridiculous because a flight back to transport my body wouldn't be that expensive or troublesome if they shove me with the luggage.

But of course, being an obedient daughter that I am , I well....obeyed.

Was fun nevertheless though, because we got to climb up to the very top of the waterfall!

More eating!
That was definitely an eventful Saturday!

The next day we headed to Melaka and explored and ate till we got all bloated, but no pictures there because for some reason I thought I downloaded it  but I seem to err,..did not.

Anyway, it was overall a fantastic weekend getaway and am so thankful I got to spend it with the buddies!

Ps. Special thanks to Juliekins and Lootify for being such great hosts and for letting us crash your campus! hehehe

2) Tests

The week after the getaway I came back to huge load of tests waiting or me.

Obviously it went well

Comforted ourselves after that with some good old sushi!

3) Dating

To celebrate the fact that I came back from Johor all alive and kicking, mum and I went for our monthly pasta date..

I even made us our very own mother daughter friendship bracelet.
You are welcome ma. You are welcome.

4)Breakfast

Almost everyone came back that weekend so we headed over to mamak and then coffee (or free mineral water for cheapskate me) to mengumpat  discuss on the important worldly affairs.

I wonder if you guys showered that morning...I did!!
Okayla bye.

A birthday and a wedding

Caution: Some extreme photo spamming involved. Content not suitable for mature audience.

Hello!

Been a while eh.

Woke up yesterday with a horrible gastric, went to university anyway for a test (worth 15% or else I probably would've considered...okay maybe not), sat for the test all grumpy cat, felt super disoriented, went home and took a long nap and woke up again feeling like crap.

Anyway. I have some serious recapping to do. Lets get started children!

1) Baby Jaz's Birthday!

Yup. Little baby Jaz is not so little anymore!

Went early with Binxy and her family to get the cake and then arrived at  beautiful Kingfisher  (such a quaint little campsite! The river flowing and perfect picnic spots kind of reminds me of the good old days back in my kampung!), and we got started on the decorations!

About 5 minutes later Juliekins and Lootyfi arrived and then the real decorating starts.

I've never been really good at all this arts and crafts stuff, so the girls decided what goes where and I followed instructions because I am err..good at following instructions.

The end product looked rather great if I may so myself!

Hanging balloons so the guests know where we at
And oh dear the cake...

How extremely adorable is the cake!
Tasted amazing as well! I felt kind of sad when they cut it to be honest.

Oh the theme of the birthday was Hello Kitty by the way! In case that wasn't obvious or anything..haha.

Thanks for having us Binxy and family!
2) Juliekins mummy's wedding!

Okay seriously, what an extremely beautiful and magical wedding it was! (I should stop exhausting my use of exclamation marks but I really can't .I'm trying, really.)

I don't usually get invited to weddings so you can imagine my excitement.

*rolls around on the floor*

A day before the wedding we met up to help out with the stickers for the door gifts.

Binxy designed the stickers  and since it was a Saturday and the shop was empty we just sat there, made ourselves at home and did all the cutting there using the scary fancy slicer.

And then we stuck them on the candle boxes and  tadaaa we got ourselves some..

Door gifts!
The candle smells amazing. I'm sneakily burning one as I'm typing these words right now.

Now I'm faced with a dilemma though.

I don't know if I should give out candles or bubble blowers for my wedding.

Never mind about finding the husband, I'm already worried about my door gifts.
Pretty buddies!
Ahh..I love weddings. I think  my favorite part about weddings in general is when the groom kisses the bride's forehead :)

Oh and the beef curry!!

The wedding reception that night was just as beautiful!

So many fresh flowers I felt like stealing some to press in my Harry Potter books...

Maybe I was giving out really strong signals or something because in the end Juliekin's mum gave us a huge bouquet each to bring home and I had to try very hard to resist skipping in joy .

Thank you so much to Juliekins and family for letting us be a part of a beautiful wedding!

Also, I'm going to continue everything else in the next post ( or maybe I won't) because blogger is getting laggy and I'm getting hungry.
