Travel Part 1

It is currently 11.18 pm and we all know what that means! Time to smoke some  blog!

Finally going to blog about the tiny bit of travelling I was lucky enough to experience last year, one which I swore to myself I would blog about but of course, decided to procrastinate instead.

Lets try to settle this once and for all!

As you can see I managed to come up with that map looking thing all by my IT challenged self!
 *pats self on head*

Anyway, here are the pictures!

I can't give you the exact names of all the places I visited though because I can no longer remember.

1) Istanbul

This was during our layover and we had over 4 hours  to explore. The weather was scorching hot and the people there were really  friendly.

Ended up in the beautiful mosque and the market!

Mind you, I take crappy pictures.

Mosque on the inside but still kind of outside
Street market
The look of absolute longing for shiny things I can't afford
Absolutely loved all of the quirky stuff sold in the market. Wanted to buy a pendant to add  to my collection but that would require me to sacrifice the money reserved for food.

Tough decision really.

In the end i guess for some reason, we decided that food was sort of important so we went with food.

2) Budapest

I bought this pin , Lord Fredrick somewhere  along the way. And then I lost it somewhere along the way
Stayed in this beautiful place my sister found on some website ( obviously I'm doing a terrible job at remembering details) . Think it was called the Dorothea apartments.

Friendly owner, beautiful place and totally strategic too , because most of the places we wanted to visit in Budapest were all just within walking distance.

where we stayed!

Me eating.

It was kind of a hassle and expensive to find Halal food there so we mostly bought stuff from the grocery store which was conveniently just next door and occasionally (okay fine, like twice) we would walk to the huge supermarket to buy milk, fresh fruits, bread and cheese!

2 floors okay mum went insane it was scary
Milk so fresh you could almost hear it Mooo
Probably the closest I'll ever get to pork
One of the museums.
You know how people say that travelling will help you discover yourself?

Well I discovered something about myself.

I hate museums.

I  thought I could be fully immersed in the beautiful paintings or the old metal bowls left behind by some lady hundreds of years ago and really appreciate all of the historical value it carries but nope.

A bowl will forever be a bowl.

We also went to this church where you could pay extra to climb all the way to the very top to see the view of a big part of the city.

I got really excited at the thought of finally being able to use my Gopro to capture something breathtaking and Instagram worthy.

Until I started climbing the stairs that is.

The face of regret.
The face of happiness. Minus a few calories.
I promise you, in reality, the view is a lot more impressive.
That was pretty much it for the first trip to Budapest. We went to a lot of other places but I'm too lazy to sort out the pictures and edit my face out and post them up so let's just use the power of imagination and  pretend I did just that.

Okay I know I said I'm going to finish this travel post once and for all but I lied.

I'm going to eat my leftover pie now and if it is meant to be then I shall return with a Part 2.

Byee!
